Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC is seeking an Activities Coordinator to assist with planning, executing, and evaluating the resident activity program at our Eugene, Oregon retirement community. You will coordinate crafts, bingo, music, discussion groups and more, with emphasis on resident satisfaction and engagement.

Responsibilities include informing residents of schedules, transporting them safely to events, creating new programs, assisting other departments, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Activity programming/recreation training and/or related experience preferred.
• Must enjoy working with the elderly and all who associate with them. Must be able to interact with residents who are highly susceptible to common illness without exposing them to additional health risks.
• Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner and have the communication skills needed to interact with the residents.
• Computer skills preferred.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times and continually strive to improve resident satisfaction.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to assist residents on and off the bus, van or car and may be required to move or arrange furniture for activities and/or climb, stoop, lift, bend, kneel, push, and reach to carry out activities of a minimum of 50 pounds.
• This position is subject to both inside and outside environment conditions. Activities occur inside and outside the facility.
• Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, incumbent will possess the mental abilities and aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.
