Job summary

Leisure Vale Assisted Living in Glendale, CA, seeks an Engagement Director to plan, develop, and oversee a broad activities program for residents. You will lead daily events, supervise staff, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with other departments to deliver engaging programs that enhance residents' quality of life.

The role requires experience in activities programming, strong leadership, superb communication, and a passion for working with seniors.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities programming, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Strong creativity and ability to design engaging programs
• Genuine passion for working with seniors
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to assist in setting up and conducting activities

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and oversee a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, mental, and social needs of residents
• Lead and coordinate daily activities, events, and special programs
• Encourage and maximize resident participation and engagement
• Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers
• Prepare and manage materials, supplies, and activity schedules
