Job description

Activity Coordinator - Create Camps (Grades 1-6)

2 positions available

Duration: 3-7 Weeks (Some flexibility)

Training starts: May 2025

Camp runs: June 16th - August 8th, 2025

Position Overview

Create Camps Activity Coordinators engage students and foster a joyful and organized camp experience. An ideal candidate is resourceful and can enthusiastically collaborate with the Camp Supervisor to ensure smooth camp operations. Responsibilities include supervising students during lunch, outdoor play, and classroom breaks; preparing camp materials; documenting camp activities with photography; assisting in classroom studios and museum visits; and other duties as assigned. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in youth education.

Schedule and Compensation

Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:30 am - 3:30 pm; approximately 25-30 hours/week.

Pay rate: $16.75/hour.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of students during all activities, including managing students of various ages.
  2. Assist the Camp Supervisor with administrative tasks, materials management, and studio cleanup.
  3. Maintain open communication with Museum Education and Create Camp staff.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to lead indoor and outdoor recreational activities
  • Previous experience working with youth
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate focus in Elementary Education, Art Education, or Studio Art/Design/Architecture
