Position: Activity Coordinator, Memory Care - Full Time

Shifts, Time, and Days: Tuesday - Saturday, 9:30am-5:00pm

Pay Range: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour

The Activity Coordinator assists with organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions for Traditions Memory Care to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life, aligning with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Memory Care Director in providing a creative and rewarding social atmosphere in the secured Traditions area. Promote resident participation through scheduled activities, excursions, events, guest speakers, movies, exercise sessions, clubs, games, art, educational classes, and more.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors with tact and friendliness.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
  • Able to drive community vehicles.
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors
  • Current Class C driver’s license; Class B preferred for resident transportation
  • Proficient in operating a personal computer and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint)
  • May be required to vaccinate, participate in screening/testing, and wear PPE per regulatory guidelines for COVID-19 and other diseases.
