Job summary

Juniper Communities is seeking a part-time role to support the Connections program, shaping daily activities for residents to enhance leisure contentment and overall well-being. The role emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and providing meaningful engagement opportunities for seniors.

You will collaborate with Wellness Associates and implement activity plans to promote physical, mental, and psychological health, while ensuring program effectiveness in a care community setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or related field (Preferred).
• Previous experience in healthcare or service-related setting (Preferred).
• Knowledge of physiology and psychology of the older adult.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, planning, and implementation of the Connections program for residents.
• Work with Wellness Associates to implement Connections activity programs.

Role

Assists in the creation, planning and implementation of the Connections program - the daily activities for our residents. You will ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological well being.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of the Connections activity program for the community.
• Works closely with Wellness Associates for the implementation of Connections activity programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Gerontology, or other related field (Preferred)
• Previous experience in healthcare or service related setting (Preferred)
• Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.
