Job summary

Priority Management in Cedar Hill, TX, seeks an Activity Assistant at Cedar Hill Healthcare Center. This part-time role supports the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and leading recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities for residents to enrich quality of life.

You will help run daily activity programs, lead group activities, encourage participation, assist residents with mobility, and ensure safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with seniors or memory care preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing daily activity programs for residents.

• Escort residents to and from activity areas safely.
• Set up and clean up activity rooms and equipment.

• Document resident attendance and participation in activities.
• Support residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities, including those with dementia or memory care needs.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and resident rights guidelines.
