Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $17.50/hr

Location: Alexandria, VA

Position Type: Part Time

Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm, and Friday 4:00pm-8:00pm, including 1 weekend a month.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to support the Director of Activities in designing, coordinating, and implementing recreational and educational programs. The ideal candidate will enhance residents’ quality of life through engaging activities and safe transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing activities based on residents’ interests
  • Complete and update activity assessments
  • Document assessments and interactions per regulations
  • Participate in resident care conferences
  • Organize indoor and outdoor activities, including evening and weekend events
  • Provide safe transportation for residents to appointments and outings
  • Schedule and supervise volunteers
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and manage supplies
