Job summary

Avamere Communities is seeking a part-time Activity Assistant to help plan and implement activities at their facility in Lake Oswego. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and experience with resident interaction, performing varied tasks that enrich the lives of residents while providing exceptional service in a healthcare setting.

Activity Assistant

Type: Part-Time

Shift: Various schedule, Weekend availability needed

Wage: $24-26/hr DOE

Benefits: Employee Medical Benefits starting at $17.50 per pay period for Regence or Kaiser for full-time employees.

Location: Avamere at The Stafford - 1200 Overlook Drive, Lake Oswego, OR 97034

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activity programs for this facility.
  • Follow resident care plans in providing daily activities for the resident.
  • Participate in community planning that interest and meet the needs of the resident and their family.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments.
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
  • Answer telephones, operate facility paging system, and manage resident list and incoming calls to residents.
  • Greet visitors, and give directions and information to guests, residents and sales representatives.
  • Ensure all visitors abide by existing rules, use ID badges and manage the sign in/out log.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience interacting with residents of this nature.
  • Must be 25 years or older to drive company vehicle.
