Job summary

The Wealshire of Bloomington is seeking a Part Time Activity Assistant/Life Enrichment Aide at our Medina Community. The role supports resident engagement with structured activities, and requires a flexible weekend/holiday schedule.

Base pay ranges from $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience, with shifts from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Applicants with musical or artistic abilities are encouraged, and prior memory care or long-term care exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience as an Activity Assistant is preferred.
• Experience in Long-Term Care and Memory Care is preferred.
• Musical or Artistic abilities are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead resident group activities of varying sizes under Life Enrichment.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for programs and clean up afterward.
• Conduct one-to-one programs for residents with lower functioning.
• Maintain and care for bird aviaries as directed.
• Assist and help feed residents during meals as needed.

Activity Assistant/Life Enrichment Aide Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• One plus (1+) year of experience as an Activity Assistant, preferred.
• Experience in Long-Term Care and Memory Care, preferred.
• Musical or Artistic abilities is a PLUS, but not required.

Activity Assistant/Life Enrichment Aide Essential Duties:

• Assist the Director of Life Enrichment by leading small, medium, and large resident group activities.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies prior to each program and clean up after each program.
• Work with residents who are low functioning by conductingone-to-one programs.
• Clean and take care of bird aviaries on Tuesday’s and Saturday’s or as instructed by Life Enrichment Director.
• Keep supplies & equipment neat, organized and put back in appropriate place.
• Assist and help feed residents at meal times as needed.
