Job summary

The Wealshire Medina Community is seeking a Part Time Activity Assistant/Life Enrichment Aide to engage residents through group and one-to-one activities, with a base pay of $20–$22/hr.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, 1+ year LTC/Memory Care experience preferred, and may have musical or artistic abilities. Hours are 8:00am–4:30pm, every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year experience as an Activity Assistant is preferred.
• Experience in Long-Term Care and Memory Care is preferred.
• Musical or artistic abilities are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead small, medium, and large resident group activities.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies prior to each program and clean up afterward.
• Work with residents who are low functioning by conducting one-to-one programs.
• Clean and take care of bird aviaries on Tuesdays and Saturdays or as directed by Life Enrichment Director.
• Keep supplies and equipment neat, organized, and stored properly.
• Assist and help feed residents at meal times as needed.

• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies prior to each program and clean up after each program.

• Keep supplies & equipment neat, organized and put back in appropriate place.
