Allegro Fort Lauderdale is seeking a warm Memory Care Activity Assistant to support life enrichment in the Ensemble Care neighborhood. This part-time role runs two days per week, offering meaningful moments and connections with residents.

You will lead person-centered activities, coordinate music, reminiscence, crafts, and social engagement, and help provide a warm, stimulating environment. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

Memory Care Activity Assistant – Allegro Fort Lauderdale

Two days a week. Making every moment matter in Memory Care.

Allegro Fort Lauderdale is seeking a warm, creative Memory Care Activity Assistant (Lifestyle Assistant) to support life enrichment programming in our Ensemble Care (Memory Care) neighborhood. Just two days per week — and every shift is an opportunity to create a meaningful connection with a resident who truly needs it.

Teachers, hotel hospitality professionals, and activities assistants are all encouraged to apply!

What You'll Do:

• Lead and support engaging, person-centered activities for Memory Care residents
• Create meaningful daily moments — music, reminiscence, sensory experiences, crafts, and social engagement
• Build genuine relationships with residents, honoring their individual stories and abilities
• Support a warm, stimulating environment in our Ensemble Care neighborhood
• Assist with resident transportation and community outings as needed
• Be a consistent, caring presence residents and families count on every Tuesday and Thursday

What You Bring:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in any of the following — preferred:
  • Hotel or hospitality industry
  • ALF or senior living activities department
  • School teaching or education
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record — required
• Warm, patient, and creative personality with a natural ability to connect with seniors
• Dependable and consistent — two days a week, every week
• No certifications required

Part-Time | Tue & Thu Only | Clean Driving Record Required

The primary responsibility of the Lifestyle Assistant Ensemble Care is to assist the Program Director Ensemble Care in providing a full-time social and activity program in the neighborhood(s) for all residents and families. Encourages resident socialization, improving daily living skills, expanding personal interests, increasing physical activity and education. Making every effort to maintain and expand the lifestyle of all the residents.

Areas of Responsibility

• Assist the Program Director Ensemble Care in conducting and coordinating scheduled activities seven days a week for all the residents in the neighborhood(s).
• Assist in preparing the monthly Lifestyle calendar, posting the calendar, and distributing it to all residents.
• Facilitate and support monthly resident council meetings and other meetings as directed by the Program Director Ensemble Care.
• Assist the Program Director Ensemble Care in contacting appropriate community groups and volunteers to perform specific activities and to assist in the Lifestyle programs.
• Assist in scheduling transportation for residents.
• Be prepared to drive the property vehicles on an as needed basis.
• Assessing residents’ social and lifestyle activity preferences.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or 21 to drive the company bus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state where the vehicle is operated.
• Must possess high energy/enthusiasm, decision making, problem solving, planning/organization, and rapport building skills.
• Must havepositive Criminal Background Screening.
• Must have an acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) record; the record must be checked annually.
• The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of related experience at an independent living, assisted living, or senior nursing facility preferred.
• CDL license a perk, may be required at some locations, inquire within.
