At Sunrise, our Life Enrichment Manager is responsible for engaging residents in familiar routines of daily living through personalized Life Skills that "Create Pleasant Days" for residents. Life Skills are tasks residents enjoyed in the past that can still bring a sense of success, meaning, and purpose today. The Life Enrichment Manager designs Life Skills to reflect each resident's interests and provides encouragement, prompts, and assistance.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate residents' interests and involvement in Life Skills.
  2. Develop Life Skills tailored to each resident's needs and abilities.
  3. Engage residents in Life Skills throughout the day and evening.
  4. Maintain an inventory of Life Skills programming supplies.
  5. Assist with daily care of animals and/or plants as part of the Life Skills program, if applicable.

Qualifications:

  1. One (1) year experience working with memory-impaired seniors.
  2. High School diploma / GED; certifications may be required per state regulations.
  3. Ability to motivate and encourage residents; adapt life skills to cognitive and functional abilities.
  4. Ability to motivate volunteers and team members to engage residents in activities.
  5. Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  6. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Organizational and time management skills.
  8. Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  9. Ability to work semi-independently following community procedures.
  10. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with ability to learn new applications.
  11. Availability to work Friday through Monday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
