Job summary

Independence Village of Fishers East seeks a Life Enrichment Activity Assistant and Back-up Shuttle Bus Driver to engage residents with social and recreational activities and to assist transport for community outings. The role supports the Life Enrichment team and coordinates with other staff.

This part-time position (up to 15 hours/week) requires a flexible schedule, compassion for seniors, good teamwork, and basic computer skills. Training and a supportive environment are provided.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Compassionate towards seniors and patient-centered.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with planning, communication and execution of activities.
• Support Life Enrichment Director and Lead with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete tasks while maintaining resident safety.
• Setup, clean up and upkeep of activity areas and spaces.
• Support transportation for outings and coordinate related tasks.
• Adhere to standards in the Employee Handbook.

Position Summary

The Life Enrichment Assistant assists in planning and performing life enrichment activities that are beneficial and complimentary to the social welfare and interests of the residents of a senior life connections community

Required Experience for Life Enrichment Assistant

• Minimum one to three years related experience andor training preferred
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings weekends and holiday hours
• Compassionate towards the senior population
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration of team
• Proficient in general computer skills

Primary Responsibilities for Life Enrichment Assistant

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction planning communication and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department
• Supports the Life Enrichment Director and Life Enrichment Lead with administrative tasks as needed
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety
• Support in proper setup clean up and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces
• Support transportation by attending outings coordinating relevant administrative tasks and upholding safety practices
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook

General Working Conditions

This position entails standing for long periods of time While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to communicate effectively with others sit stand walk and use hands to handle keyboard telephone paper files and other equipment and objects The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens The employee will occasionally lift andor move up to 25 pounds The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others The noise level in the work environment is moderate Occasional travel to different locations may be required
