Job summary

Green Palms Health & Rehab of St. Marys is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to provide individualized activity care within the Activity Department, supporting residents through engaging programs and social interaction.

The role requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with 20-25 hours weekly and alternating weekends/holidays; wages will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of activities and documents services to support Activity Department functions.
• Assists with a variety of activities, including one-on-one and group activities, inside or outside the facility, promoting positive relationships with residents and community members.
• Provides supplies and equipment for residents to participate in activities as assigned by the Activity Director.
• Assists with planning, developing and coordinating resident-centered activities including holidays and events.
• Attends scheduled in-services and completes monthly trainings.
• Performs other activities-related tasks as assigned.

The purpose of the Activities Assistant is to provides individualized activity care and services within the Activity Department.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains up to date knowledge of activities and provides accurate documentation of all services in order to assure the highest degree of Activity Department functions.
• Assists with a variety of activities, one-on-one and group activities, outside and/or inside the facility and promote positive relationships with residents and community members outside the facility.
• Provides supplies and equipment for residents to participate in individual activities as assigned by the Activity Director.
• Assists with the planning, developing and coordinating of resident centered activities as requestedincluding Holidays and special events as assigned by the Activity Director.
• Attend any scheduled in-services and complete monthly trainings.
• Perform any other Activites related or assigned as requested.
