Brookridge Heights Assisted Living & Memory Care in Marquette, MI is seeking an Activity Assistant to create meaningful experiences for residents. You will lead group activities, spend individual time with residents, and help them pursue hobbies they enjoy.

Ideal candidates are energetic, compassionate and customer-service oriented, with a passion for senior living. Training is provided and a supportive team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with activities, recreation, or senior living is preferred.
• Ability to engage residents and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrates patience, creativity, and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with group activities, games, crafts, music, celebrations and other recreational programs.
• Spend one-on-one time with residents to encourage engagement.
• Support residents in hobbies and activities they enjoy.
• Help create a welcoming, fun, and inclusive environment.
• Encourage resident independence while honoring preferences.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and team members.
• Assist with setup, coordination, and cleanup of activities and events.
• Observe residents and communicate needs or changes to the team.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.

What You'll Do

As an Activity Assistant, you'll help bring our Life Enrichment program to life! You'll support activities and experiences designed around the interests, abilities, and preferences of the residents we serve.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with group activities, events, games, crafts, music, celebrations, and other recreational programs
• Spending one-on-one time with residents to encourage engagement and connection
• Supporting residents in pursuing hobbies, interests, and activities they enjoy
• Helping create a welcoming, fun, and inclusive environment
• Encouraging resident independence and honoring individual preferences and choices
• Building positive relationships with residents, families, team members, and visitors
• Assisting with the setup, coordination, and cleanup of activities and events
• Observing residents and communicating needs, concerns, or changes appropriately
• Helping ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times
• Following company policies, safety procedures, and applicable state and federal guidelines
• Participating in required training and educational programs
