Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience working in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Experience in planning and directing activities for elderly residents, and in planning, and organizing special programs for residents, families, and staff.
- Good verbal communication skills, including giving directions in a pleasant and understandable manner.
- Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities and enlisting support from team members.
- Must be able to evaluate residents' needs and adjust programming accordingly.
- Ability to respond respectfully and professionally to concerns from residents, families, or team members, elevating issues to the Administrator as needed.
- Ability to represent the Community positively and professionally.
- Current and valid state driver’s license.
- Must pass a criminal background clearance.
Essential Functions:
- Assist Resident Experience Director (RED) in planning activities that support residents’ quality of life and meet state requirements for social, physical, spiritual, and mental health.
- Implement programs on the Calendar of Events based on resident profiles, fostering an active, social, and creative environment.
- Maintain updated social histories and LifeProfiles of residents.
- Support the “Better Health for a Better Self” program to meet health and wellness needs.
- Meet new residents and families, inform them about the activity program, and encourage participation.
- Maintain inventory of activity supplies and equipment, submitting monthly needs to the RED.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of holiday events.
- Operate and drive the community bus for outings, outreach, or other off-site activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
