Job summary

Boonespring is seeking an Activity Assistant to deliver engaging activities for residents at our skilled nursing facility in Harrison, OH. The role promotes psychosocial and emotional well‑being through diverse individual and group activities.

The ideal candidate is a State Tested Nurse Aide or eligible, eager to learn, and passionate about elder care. Competitive pay, daily pay options, and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Must be (or eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide to participate more actively with activities.
• Willing to learn and communicate well with others.
• Genuine desire to work with elderly and interact with residents, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and 1:1 activities for residents.
• Contribute to the activity calendar to meet resident needs.
• Conduct all scheduled groups and activities and assist with outings.
• Assist with resident meals and special events as needed.
• Document attendance and activity participation.
• Support customer service surveys and feedback processes.
• Attend team meetings and perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job description

Facility is currently looking for an ACTIVITY ASSISTANT. Come join our team as an Activity Assistant at our state of the art, skilled nursing facility. The position provides activities to the facility residents with the goal to promote the psychosocial, spiritual and emotional well-being of residents, families and staff.

Pay $13.50 - $16.00 an hour!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with other members of the Activity Department to provide individual, group and 1:1 activities, which are essential to the total wellbeing of our Residents.
• Provides insight with the activity calendar and provides activities to meet the needs of the residents
• Conducts all scheduled groups and individual activities.
• Attends outings – operates bus lift and all other bus equipment.
• Attends Team Member meetings as needed
• Assists with Resident meals (serve/feed).
• Assists with Theme Weeks and special events.
• Documents activity participation attendance for all groups and individual activities
• Assist with Customer Service Surveys.
• All other duties specified by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be (or must be eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide to allow more active participation with activity delivery
• Willing to learn and communicates well with others
• Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.
