Job summary

Allure of Geneseo is seeking an Activity Assistant to support our activities program and enhance resident engagement. You will assist the Activities Director with planning and delivering individual and group activities, document interactions in resident records, and help coordinate events to promote a joyful facility atmosphere.

The role emphasizes strong communication, timeliness, and adherence to policies while supporting residents' needs and rights in a compassionate setting.

As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of our activities program, designed to bring joy and engagement to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in planning and implementing individual and group activities based on residents' needs
• Document all interactions with residents and/or families in assessment, care plans, and progress notes as required by federal and state regulations
• Assist with planning and conducting activity programs to help residents return to the community
• Support evening and weekend functions as necessary
• Schedule and supervise volunteers
• Implement community events related to residents' interests
• Schedule and implement in-room activities for residents who cannot leave their rooms
• Maintain records of participation in activities and resident response or lack of response to activities
• Prepare materials and equipment for activities and maintain an adequate supply of materials
• Deliver personal mail to residents and read upon request
• Interact with residents in accordance with resident rights and other regulations and facility policies
• Observe infection control procedures related to the Activity Program

Authority and Delegation

• Authority is delegated to this position to assist the Activity Director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident's needs

Job Details
