Solstice Fenton is seeking an Activity Assistant / Driver to join our team in a part-time capacity. You will assist with planning recreational activities and provide safe transportation for participants, combining friendly interaction with reliable service.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and experience in recreation or related roles. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain it.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; related field training is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a recreational or activity-based role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations.
• Ability to lift and assist participants as necessary and perform basic activities.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize and implement recreational activities with the coordinator.
• Lead arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, outings and events.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere to encourage participation and social interaction.
• Monitor engagement and provide support to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning up activities, including materials and equipment.
• Safely transport participants to and from activities using the organization vehicle.
• Ensure the vehicle is in good condition and report maintenance needs.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Activity Assistant / Driver to join our dynamic team. In this dual role, you will assist with planning and implementing recreational activities for our participants while also providing safe and reliable transportation. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and a passion for encouraging active lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities:

Activity Assistance:

• Collaborate with the Activities Coordinator to plan, organize, and implement various recreational activities for participants.
• Lead and assist in activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, community outings, and special events.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and social interaction among participants.
• Monitor participant engagement and provide support as needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning up activities, including preparing materials and equipment.

Transportation Duties:

• Safely transport participants to and from scheduled activities and events using an organization vehicle.
• Ensure the vehicle is in good condition, conducting routine checks and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Assist participants in boarding and deboarding the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with participants, families, and team members.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in recreation, social work, or a related field is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a recreational or activity-based role, or related work experience, is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to lift and assist participants as necessary and perform basic physical activities associated with leading activities.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
