Job summary

Riverview Rehab is seeking a full-time Activities Assistant to engage residents through various recreational activities. Responsibilities include facilitating events and assisting residents with their needs while ensuring safety. Qualifications

• Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required.
• Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home with dementia preferred.
• Ability to provide age-related care.

Responsibilities of Activities Assistant:

• Facilitating daily, weekly and monthly events to encourage socialization and recreation for facility residents

• Observing residents throughout the event and assisting with coloring, crafts, and other needs

• Reporting medical concerns to supervisors if needed

• Crafting, coloring, decorating, playing games, etc.

Qualifications for Activities Assistant:

• Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required

• Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home with dementia experience preferred.

• An ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.

• High School Diploma or GED.
