Job summary

Valley View Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate Activities Aide to plan and lead engaging programs for residents in Memory Care. You will assist in organizing activities, encourage participation, and document engagement to support care planning.

The role emphasizes a welcoming, respectful environment and close collaboration with residents, families, and team members. The position offers full-time hours, 12PM-8PM shifts, and benefits designed to support health, retirement, and growth

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating resident activity programs.
• Encourage resident participation in recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual activities.
• Observe and document resident attendance, mood, behavior, and level of engagement.
• Report and chart observations to support resident care planning and progress evaluation.
• Participate in community planning related to resident interests, services, and family needs.
• Interview residents and family members to gather activity preferences and background information.
• Support a welcoming, respectful, and engaging environment for all residents.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
