Job summary

Intermountain Hospital in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Activity Aide to support patient-centered activity services and therapeutic engagement. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, 1 year of related psychiatric care experience, and certification or willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR and crisis intervention training.

  • First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to train.
  • Non-violent crisis intervention training prior to restraining procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement activity services for the assigned program.
  • Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling.
  • Work under the direction of the Activity Therapy Director.

Intermountain Hospital is looking for a dynamic Activity Aide to work with a variety of patients! The Activity Aide is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for assigned program, which involves implementing treatment goals and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients under the direction of the Director of the Activity Therapy Department.

Shift: PRN

Qualifications
  • Education: High School graduate required, some college preferred.
  • Experience: One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
  • Licensure: First Aid/CPR (we will train).
  • Additional Requirements: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training prior to assisting with a restraining procedure and within 90 days of employment (we will providing training).
