Job summary

Primary Responsibilities

The Activity Aide will assist the Activity Director in planning, coordinating, and directing the residents’ activity program and collaborate on organizing employee and non‑employee events for the facility.

Essential Functions

• Facilitate individual and group activities based on residents’ needs.
• Ensure activities are available for both high and low functioning residents.
• Assist with scheduling beauty parlor and barber activities.
• Provide one‑to‑one activities for bed‑fast residents and document appropriately.
• Prepare, maintain, and post the monthly calendar in a visible area and provide each resident with a copy.
• Generate the facility newsletter.
• Participate in community events related to facility interests.
• Attend in‑services as necessary.
• Assist residents to and from activities.
• Assist with the activity program, including the Residents’ Council and night and weekend activities as needed.
• Deliver resident mail daily.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Activity Director and/or Administrator.
