Job summary

Liberty Center is seeking a full-time Activity Aide to join our team. The Activity Assistant works with the Activity Director to provide group and individual activities for the residents, with duties including personal contact with residents and a varied work schedule that will include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities by the Activity Director and in accordance with each resident's plan of care.
• Set up areas as needed for the type of activity planned.
• Assist residents who desire to participate to group.
• Encourage and praise residents' responses throughout activity.
• Assist residents back to living areas at the conclusion of the activity.
• Notify Director of residents' behaviors during programs.
• Interact appropriately and effectively in one-to-one (or group) activities according to residents' strengths and limitations.
• Be aware of residents' individual cognitive, emotional and psychosocial impairments.
