Job summary

AristaCare in Whiting, NJ is seeking an Activity Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational and social programs for residents, aligned with care plans and directed by supervisors.

This part-time role involves designing activities to encourage socialization, entertainment, and daily living skills, with on-the-job training provided and a competitive rate.

Shift availability includes Monday and Wednesday 12pm-8pm and alternating Sundays 9:30am-5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• On-the job training provided

Responsibilities

• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
• Involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible
• Involve the resident/family in planning objectives and goals for the resident.

Activity Aide

Part Time

Available shift: Monday & Wednesday 12pm - 8pm and every other Sunday9:30- 5:30

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. Helps design programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation and fulfillment, and improve daily living skills

The Activity Aide reports to Activity Recreation Director, helping on projects/matters of the limited complexity in a support role.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
• Involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible
• Involve the resident/family in planning objectives and goals for the resident.
