Job summary

The Grove of La Grange Park is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide to support residents in skilled nursing and post-acute care. You will provide companionship, help schedule movies, parties, games, and outings, and work closely with a caring team to create a warm, home-like atmosphere.

Minimum requirements include a 10th grade education; prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.

Qualifications

• As a minimum, a tenth grade education.
• Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain emotional and social wellbeing of residents by providing companionship and interaction.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities; assist with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games and crafts; accompany residents on activities outside the facility.

As an Activity Aide you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents’. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at The Grove La Grange Park by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure their emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.
