Job summary

Medicalodges is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to motivate residents to participate in activities, promoting mental and physical activity and a sense of well-being. You will support the Activity Director and encourage residents to engage in community life in a nursing/assisted living setting.

The role focuses on coordinating activities, maintaining safe supplies and spaces, and documenting participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in various activities and handicrafts.
• Verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Creating supportive activities under direct supervision of the Activity Director.
• Encouraging individual residents to participate in activities.
• Assisting in finding methods to motivate residents to take an interest in life and the community.
• Maintaining supplies and equipment in a safe way.
• Seeing that the activity areas are in good and clean order before and after each activity.
• Documenting resident activity participation and attendance and taking part in documenting
