Job summary

Nexus Health Management is seeking an activity assistant to help plan and implement engaging activities for residents in a care setting. You will support individuals and groups, including those with special needs, to promote participation and well-being.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and strong interpersonal skills. Experience with elderly patients is preferred, with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willingness to become certified.
• Prior experience with elderly patients preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement individual and group activities for residents.
• Provide activities for residents with special needs (depressed, terminally ill, bedridden).
• Encourage participation and involvement of all residents.
• Prepare for and participate in resident care conferences.
• Prepare sites and materials for activities.
