Job summary

Fundamental in Cumberland, MD seeks an Activity Aide to bring joy and engagement to residents. You’ll help plan, organize, and implement activities that support cognitive, social, and physical well-being within a warm senior environment.

This role collaborates with the Activity Director, may involve transporting materials, setting up activities, and leading one-on-one and group sessions. A high school diploma, driver’s license, and reliable transportation are required; college credits are a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; college credits are preferred.
  • Aptitude for arts and crafts and some training is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of liability insurance.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement activities for patients and residents.
  • Transport, set up for activities, and procure materials for activities as needed.
  • Conduct one-on-one activity therapy and group activities to promote progress.

Posted Salary Range

USD $15.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Activity Aide will work side by side with the Activity Director assisting with the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of activities for our patients and residents including:

  • Assist with the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of activities for our patients and residents.
  • Assist with transporting, communicating, and setting up for activities in and out of the facility on a regular basis; as well as order and pick up the materials for the activities (as needed).
  • Conduct one-on-one activity therapy to offer sensory stimulation and group activities to ensure patients and residents make personal progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; college credits are preferred
  • Preferred aptitude for, and some training in, arts and crafts
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and provide proof of liability insurance required
  • Must have reliable transportation
