Job summary

Oneida Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Utica, NY is seeking an Activities Aide to lead resident-centered activity programs on-site. Join a dedicated team to enhance residents' engagement and daily living through customized activity plans.

Responsibilities include assisting with program setup, documenting participation, coordinating with recreation staff, and guiding residents between locations. CNA-certified individuals earn higher pay, with a supportive, team-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• CNA license will earn higher rate but not required.
• Positive attitude and energy are a must.
• Previous experience with a geriatric population preferred.
• Strong computer skills necessary.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to multi-task.

DUTIES:

• Implement activities programs for Residents; focus on individual interests

• Work directly with Residents on units; without direct supervision

• Organize and obtain supplies and equipment as requested

• Assist recreation specialists & set up program areas as needed

• Keep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activities

• Assist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate units
