Job summary

Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Full-Time Activity Aide to join our compassionate team in Kingston, NY. You will help plan and implement daily recreational and therapeutic activities for residents, supporting group and individual engagement with kindness and respect.

We value a friendly, patient personality and strong communication skills, with a focus on teamwork. Experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals who want to make a difference in residents'

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with seniors or in healthcare is a plus but not required.
• Friendly, patient and compassionate personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative mindset with enthusiasm for engaging residents.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility to and from activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily recreational and therapeutic activities for residents
• Support group activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise programs, and social events
• Encourage resident participation while respecting individual abilities and preferences
• Assist residents to and from activities when needed
• Help set up and clean up activity spaces and materials
• Provide one-on-one engagement for residents who are unable to attend group programs
• Support special events, holiday celebrations, and themed activities within the facility
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents
• Document participation and observations as directed by the Activities Director
• Collaborate with the care team to support residents’ emotional and social well-being
