Aristacare-Health-Service in New Jersey is seeking an Activity Aide to plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, and spiritual programs that align with residents` care plans.

You will interview residents or families to gather activity information and involve them in planning activities and objectives to enhance socialization, relaxation, and daily living skills. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• On-the-job training provided.

Job description

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. Helps design programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation and fulfillment, and improve daily living skills. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.

Involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible

Involve the resident/family in planning objectives and goals for the resident.

Requirements
