Job summary

St. Bernards Healthcare is seeking an Activities Therapy Technician (Behavioral Health) to assist therapists in evaluating patients’ activity therapy needs and to help plan and lead groups. The role is full-time during daytime hours in a hospital setting.

You will support assessments, help supervise recreation activities, and document patient progress while working within safety policies. A high school diploma and strong people skills are required.

Experience

Physical

Essential Functions: Leading education group, supervise recreation activities, assist with assessments and documentation. Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
