Job summary

St. Bernards is seeking an Activity Therapy Technician to support therapists by assessing patient activity needs and planning/group activities within a hospital setting.

You will help coordinate group sessions, monitor patient progress, and ensure safety during activities in a ward environment. The role requires practical experience with group activities, solid communication skills, and the ability to work closely with medical staff to meet therapeutic goals.

  • Essential Functions: Leading education group, supervise recreation activities, assist with assessments and documentation. Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching

JOB SUMMARY
