Job summary

Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Winchester, MA, is seeking an Activities Aide to develop and run recreational programs, group activities, and special events to meet residents’ needs. You will engage residents, support attendance, and help with transporting to events.

This role supports a compassionate team, offers paid holidays and benefits, and welcomes applicants who enjoy working with seniors and bringing energy to activities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience with seniors preferred.
• Flexibility to work hours/rotations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the needs of residents.
• Support, encourage, and motivate residents to attend activities.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
• Accompany residents to special events and trips outside the facility.
• Facilitate activities and remain aware of all residents at all times.
• Clean up after each activity and prepare for the next one.
• Assemble, dismantle, and store equipment and supplies used in the recreation program.
• Communicate with families as necessary and encourage their involvement.

Job Summary:

Join our dynamic activities team at Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 117-bed skilled nursing facility owned and operated by Salter Healthcare since 1976. As an Activities Aide, you will play a vital role in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the unique needs of our residents. • Assist in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the needs of residents
