The successful candidate will be energetic, passionate, and creative. This role involves working directly with residents; therefore, you must be gentle, responsible, and hardworking. Comfort with confused residents and a willingness to find fulfillment in small ways are essential.

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT:

The Activities Assistant provides personalized activity care and services for residents. This role functions as part of the activities department team and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams on assigned units to promote team success.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience, preferably in healthcare settings
  • Experience with related software applications is a plus
  • Ability to plan, organize, and conduct various activities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Active state driver’s license
