Job summary

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community is seeking an Activities Leader to join our Life Engagement team, enriching residents' daily lives with engaging activities. This part-time role offers a friendly, values-driven work environment rooted in Christian principles.

The position is benefits eligible, with a schedule of Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and alternating weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., totaling around 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience working with older adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead events, activities and programming to engage residents and develop talents.
• Provide opportunities addressing wellness: physical, cognitive, emotional, social and spiritual.
• Promote community, inclusivity and resident participation.
• Find creative ways to engage all residents and persevere with reluctant participants.
• Maintain excellent customer service with Residents, team members, volunteers, families and vendors.
• Demonstrate flexibility, problem-solving, and teamwork in all tasks.

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking a Activities Leader to become a part of our Life Engagement team to help provide our residents with new and exciting activities to enrich and fulfill their daily lives. As a Activities Leader working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values.

This opening is for a part-time Benefits Eligible Position; working every Monday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 30 hours per week. Holiday rotation is required.

Personal Care, more commonly referred to as PC Mission Point, is designed for individuals who wish to remain independent when staying at home has become impractical or unsafe. Job Description

As a Activities Leader, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

• Leading events, activities and programming which stimulate interest, enhance skills and talents, and promote a culture of full life engagement which is specific to each Resident.
• Providing opportunities to address all aspects of wellness, including physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.
• Enthusiastically promoting a sense of community, supporting a culture of inclusivity, and encouraging Residents to be engaged.
• Finding creative ways to engage all residents. Persevering when soliciting engagement from residents who may be reluctant to participate.
• Establishing and maintaining excellent customer service in all interactions with Residents, teammates, volunteers, families, vendors and others.
• Offering flexibility, problem-solving ability and a spirit of teamwork in all aspects of job performance.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Previous experience working with older adults is preferred.
• Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Must possess dependability, punctuality, creativity, flexibility and patience.
