Parkview Northwest Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for Activities Leaders to join our team.

Positions available: Part Time and Full Time, with varying shifts. Now offering Daily Pay – work today, get paid tomorrow!

We seek fun, energetic, and creative individuals to help our residents socialize and engage in community involvement. Our trained staff aim to turn aging, rehabilitation, and recovery challenges into positive experiences.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Leading various activities, including one-to-one and group sessions, both on-site and in the community.
  2. Providing supplies and coordinating activities tailored to residents' needs.
  3. Planning, developing, and evaluating resident-centered activities and events.
  4. Assisting with decorating, scheduling, and escorting residents to activities.
  5. Engaging in behavioral follow-up and interventions with residents.
  6. Participating in community outings and supporting resident participation in activities.
  7. Maintaining activity documentation and coordinating with other departments.
  8. Advocating for residents' needs and rights, and participating in resident and family meetings.
  9. Supervising volunteers and assisting with departmental clerical tasks.
  10. Promoting positive community relationships and participating in training and other activities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in healthcare or related software preferred.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and handle tactfully interactions with residents, families, and staff.
  • Basic computer skills and a valid driver’s license; CDL may be required for larger vehicle operation.
