Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Legacy Pointe in Omaha, NE is seeking an Activities Director to plan, coordinate, and implement a diverse range of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents. The role requires overseeing staff, managing the activities budget, and ensuring programs meet care plans and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field, at least 1 year of experience in activity programming within long-term care, and a CTRS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in activity programming or a similar role, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Activity Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to residents' interests and needs.
• Resident Engagement: Assess residents' interests and capabilities to create personalized activity plans and promote participation.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Program Management: Manage the activities budget and maintain records of participation and outcomes.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure activities meet regulatory requirements and prepare reports.
