Job summary

Sterling Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Media, PA is seeking an experienced Activities Director to develop and manage an engaging activities program for our residents. The role emphasizes compassionate service and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance resident well-being.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in long-term care, strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with federal and PA Long Term Care regulations.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of long-term care experience preferred.
• Demonstrates competence in leadership and tactful interpersonal communication.
• Is familiar with federal and PA Long Term Care regulations.
• Must have the ability to function independently, exhibit flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, families, and support agencies

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and implement a program of individual and group activities for residents.
• Use resident assessment protocols (RAPs) to determine whether to proceed to care planning for concerns related to a resident's activity program needs.
• Identify and document in the resident's care plan the activity interests, needs, and concerns of the resident.
• Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and attend all resident care conferences.
• Recruit, schedule, and supervise assistants and volunteers.
• Plan, schedule, and implement room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms.
• Perform other duties assigned
