POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Activity Director supports healthcare team members with day-to-day wellness needs. The Activity Director is responsible for fostering teamwork among the Life Enrichment Leaders to deliver outstanding customer service and develop enriching community programs that align with residents’ interests and needs. This includes interviewing healthcare residents to understand their preferences, lifelong interests, and routines.
- Under the leadership of the Healthcare Administrator, the Activity Director assists in developing and implementing social events, outings, programs, and activities based on residents’ preferences.
- The social and activities program should be multifaceted, reflecting residents’ interests and needs, and focus on the six dimensions of wellness: emotional, intellectual, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational.
- The program should include themed events, educational opportunities, social functions, spiritual activities, day trips, cultural outings, lectures, informational meetings, and volunteer opportunities.
- The Activity Director collaborates with the Social Director to maintain a resource file of community resources to enhance programming options.
- The Activity Director also assists in recruiting and coordinating volunteers to support campus-wide programming.
