Job summary

Osage Beach Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center is seeking a full-time Life Enrichment & Activities Director to lead wellness activities for residents across Long Term Care, Memory Care and Rehab services. You will work closely with the Activities Assistant and Administrator to provide meaningful daily programs and foster a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate is a team player who is compassionate, creative, and comfortable using Word and Publisher to produce calendars and newsletters.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with activity programming in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to lead others and work with department heads.
• Weekend availability required (at least one weekend day).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead wellness activities for Long Term Care, Memory Care, and Rehab patients (may include some weekend/holiday hours).
• Ensure timely completion of related paperwork.
• Coordinate celebrations, holidays and events.
• Create a positive, fun work environment and motivate others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

• A team player who is trustworthy, dependable and energetic
• Committed in Enhancing The Quality of Life for our Patients & Partners
• Available at least one weekend day per week
• Comfortable using a computer, specifically Microsoft Word
• Someone who is comfortable leading others and serving on our Department Head Leadership Team

Life Enrichment Director applicants must have a desire to work with seniors, be compassionate and creative. The ideal candidate would also have some knowledge of activity programming in long term care as your goal would be to provide daily meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Specifically you are responsible for:

• Working with the Activities Assistant & Administrator to lead wellness activities for Long Term Care, Memory Care and Rehab patients as assigned (This will occasionally include some weekend and/or holiday hours)
• Timely completion of associated paperwork
• Coordinating celebrations, holidays and parties
• Having fun at work and making sure others do too
• Other duties as assigned

Other important skills are:

• Strong communication and time management
• Ability to be a team player and work with other departments to build staff morale
• Basic typing and computer skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Publisher specifically for producing monthly calendars and newsletters along with other external and internal marketing material
