Now Hiring for an Engagement Specialist for our Senior Living Community.
This position is responsible for the development and execution of a vibrant experience and engagement program in Senior Living setting based on six principles of wellbeing to provide a well-rounded living environment. Ideas include: nature walks, book club, cooking, gardening, trivia, arts, music, continuing education topics, birthday parties, happy hour, the possibilities are endless!
Responsibilities:
- Assess Resident Interests and Needs Ensure all new residents are interviewed within 7 days of move-in to determine their level of interest and preferred activities, using the Resident Interest Worksheet. Provide an orientation to new residents regarding available programs and opportunities. Continuously assess residents’ engagement preferences and suggest appropriate programs to meet their needs.
- Coordinate Resident Engagement Activities Develop a monthly calendar of events designed to stimulate residents intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually. Coordinate and manage daily activities while staying within budgeted limits. Organize internal and external entertainment and ensure it aligns with residents' interests. Ensure activities are scheduled as planned, minimizing cancellations or changes.
- Plan and Execute Quarterly Marketing Events Collaborate with other departments staff to organize quarterly events that serve as both resident engagement activities and marketing tools. Plan, advertise, set up, and clean up these events, focusing on resident enjoyment and participation.
- Coordinates Transportation for Resident Activities Plans and organizes transportation for residents to attend off-site activities, including sightseeing trips, medical visits, and destination outings. Ensure that transportation is available for residents needing assistance with medical or recreational travel.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred in Social Service, Business, Recreation, or a field related to the position.
- Must have proven management experience and ability to manage staff.
- Three years’ experience in assisted living preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Valid Driver Licenseand ability to become insured.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test (not including marijuana in Washington State).
