Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. and two years work experience coordinating activities and working with the elderly or people with disabilities in a human services or medically-related program, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, schedules, coordinates, facilitates, and monitors a variety of engaging activities, events, and trips to meet the needs and interests of specific groups participating in Salvation Army programs; monitors all activities to ensure needs of participants are met and to ensure compliance with established activity plans as well as The Salvation Army policies and procedures.
• Plans, promotes, coordinates, and facilitates activities on a regular basis to include recreational, athletic, entertaining, educational, and/or devotional topics.
• Prepares and distributes monthly calendars and/or newsletters promoting scheduled activities and providing general and specific information of interest to the participants.
• Assists participants with moving as needed throughout the day.
• Serves breakfast and lunch to participants; assists participants in moving to tables; assists participants by cutting
