Job summary

Cove’s Edge of MaineHealth is seeking a per diem Activities Coordinator to enhance the lives of residents through creative programming and activities. This role also includes coordination of volunteer services and budget management in a supportive team environment, offering flexibility and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Description

Cove’s Edge, a 76-bed Long Term Care and Skilled facility located on the Miles Campus of Lincoln Hospital in mid-coast Maine, is known for excellent care provided by its dedicated staff. We are seeking an Activities Coordinator to join our team.

Summary

This position is per diem with variable hours. The Activities Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing programs and activities that enrich residents' lives, coordinating volunteer services, and managing annual activity budgets, supplies, and equipment.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state Activity Certificate or comparable training preferred. Certified Nursing Assistant Certification preferred. BLS certification required within three months of start date. Valid Driver's License required.
  • Experience: Interest and experience in working with older adults, especially with dementia, preferred.
