Job summary

Sevita is seeking an Activities Coordinator in Riverside, CA to collaborate with our interdisciplinary team and design meaningful group activities tailored to individuals served. The role emphasizes safety, planning, and hands-on guidance for staff delivering engaging programs.

You’ll work with a supportive clinical team, maintain activity curricula, and ensure age-appropriate activities while meeting state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; activity coordinator certification preferred.
• Two years’ experience with developmentally disabled adults and activity planning.
• Valid driver’s license with car registration and vehicle insurance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; reliable, caring, mission-driven.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $21/hr

Activities Coordinator

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful group activities with focus on emphasizing the preferences of individuals served.
• Provide daily instruction and guidance to staff regarding activity delivery methods and techniques as well as at staff meetings.
• Determine and implement necessary precautions in exercising responsibility for the care and safety of individuals served.
• Maintain curriculum binders for each classroom to ensure that varied and age-appropriate activities are planned and conducted for all individuals served.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Activity Coordinator preferred
• Two years’ experience working with developmentally disabled adults, including planning and conducting activities for this population
• Valid driver’s license in good standing with car registration and vehicle insurance
• All state-required training and certification completed in mandated timeframes
• Reliable, responsible, and caring nature
• Strong organizational and communication skills
