Job summary

Gardens Nursing and Rehab is seeking an Activities Assistant (CNA license required) to support our residents in a 120-bed facility in Miami. The role requires working every other weekend and involves following the activities calendar, encouraging participation, and updating logs daily.

You will work closely with the Activities Director to tailor activities to resident preferences and care plans. Eligible candidates hold a valid CNA license and have prior experience in a nursing home setting.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required to qualify for the role.
• Experience working in nursing homes or long-term care is preferred.
• Ability to follow schedules and care plans for residents.

Responsibilities

• Follow the activities calendar and assist with events.
• Encourage resident participation in activities.
• Adhere to each resident's plan of care for activities.
• Conduct room visits and 1:1 visits as needed.
• Update the activity log daily for each resident.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to adjust activities based on resident preferences.
