Job summary

Waters Edge Lodge is seeking an Activities Attendant to lead and promote activities for frail elderly residents, aligning with the seven dimensions of wellness. You will be the community reference for residents and families, introduce amenities, and support dinner service.

This is a part-time role with Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays, 9:30am–6:00pm. Compensation is $21.80 per hour plus benefits for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience leading group activities or teaching.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions.
• Candidate must be at least 21 and able to assist with alcohol at events.
• Driver’s license preferred for driving to events.

Waters Edge Lodge is looking for Activities Attendants

The Activities Attendant leads (and encourages participation in) activities for frail elderly that promote the seven dimensions of wellness (physical, spiritual, emotional, vocational, physical, intellectual, and social). Additionally, they act as a key contact for residents and their families, making sure everyone is introduced to the buildings amenities, acting as a point of reference for those who need assistance or information, and participates in dinner service.

The current openings are part-time:

• Shifts available on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays from 9:30am - 6:00pm

Pay Rate- $21.80 per hour

Responsibilities

• Leading resident activities
• Assisting with special events
• Creating and maintaining proper signage for activities and events
• Visiting with residents and encouraging participation in a variety of activities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience leading group activities or teaching
• Ability to follow written and oral directions
• Candidate must be at least 21 years old and able to assist with service of alcohol at Happy Hour
• Licensed driver at least 26 years old preferred
• Basic computer skills for attendance taking and resident participation tracking

• Fingerprint clearance from the FBI and Dept of Justice (we pay for it)
