Tice Valley Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Activities Assistant to join our team. The Activities Assistant will help plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, physical well-being, and an improved quality of life for our residents.
Assist with planning and conducting daily activities and recreational programs.
Encourage resident participation while respecting individual interests, abilities, and preferences.
Lead and assist with group and one‑on‑one activities, including games, crafts, music, exercise, social events, and entertainment.
Assist residents with transportation and participation in scheduled activities when appropriate.
Build positive relationships with residents and encourage social engagement.
Assist with decorating and preparing activity areas for special events and holidays.
Maintain accurate attendance records and activity documentation.
Communicate resident interests, participation, and concerns to the Activities Director and care team.
Ensure activities are conducted in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare, assisted living, or skilled nursing environment preferred.
Experience in activities, recreation, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.
Energetic, creative, compassionate, and patient personality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with residents of varying physical and cognitive abilities.
Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

9:00 AM–5:30 PM
