Job summary

Thrive Rehab of Pearland is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Activities Assistant to bring energy, compassion, and excellent customer service to our residents. You’ll lead fun group activities and provide engaging one-on-one moments, helping create meaningful experiences for guests after hospital stays.

Role emphasizes reliability, warmth in communication, and supportive teamwork in a nursing home/assisted living setting. Training provided for the right personality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a nursing home, assisted living, or memory care setting preferred.
• Weekend availability required; reliable and consistent.
• Ability to speak warmly and clearly with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead group activities such as Bingo, trivia, or exercise classes.
• Provide 1-on-1 visits and engagement with residents through reading or sensory activities.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation (PointClickCare experience is a plus).
• Assist with transporting residents to activity areas and decorating the facility for events.

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Weekend Activities Assistant with excellent customer service - energetic, friendly and caring - to provide our guests with compassionate and personal treatment.

About the Role

Are you a "people person" who loves making others smile? We are looking for a creative, energetic, and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our clinical team on the weekends. In this role, you won’t just be passing the time; you’ll be creating meaningful moments for our residents through music, games, crafts, and conversation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the Fun: Organize and facilitate group activities such as Bingo, trivia, exercise classes, and holiday celebrations.
• 1-on-1 Connection: Spend quality time with residents who prefer individual visits, reading to them or engaging in sensory activities.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of resident participation (experience with PointClickCare is a plus!).
• Set the Stage: Help transport residents to activity areas and assist with decorating the facility for seasonal events.
